【摘要】:1ThisInternationalStandardspecifiestwoempiricalmethodsforthequantitativedeterminationofthelossofmassfromaplasticmaterialunderdefinedconditionsoftimeandtemperature,inthepresenceofactivatedcarbon.2Thesemethodsareused,inparticular,forthequantitativedeterminationofthelossonheatingofplasticizersfromplasticizedplasticmaterialsinwhichcaseitisgenerallyassumedthatnosignificantamountsofothervolatilematerialsarepresent.3Theseareempiricaltestmethods,onlysuitableforaratherrapidcomparisonofthelossesofplasticizersor,ingeneral,ofvolatilecompounds,fromdifferentplastics.4Theymayalsobeemployedforthecomparisonofdifferenttypesofplasticizers;inthiscasestandardcompoundsshouldbeprepared,onthebasisofawellcharacterizedresin,withknownratiosofresintoplasticizer.NOTE—Thesecomparisonsarepossibleonlyifthetestspecimensareofthesamethickness.Ifitcanbeassumedthat,afterrecon-ditioning,themoisturecontentoftheexposedspecimensisequaltothatobtainingaftertheoriginalconditioning,theeffectofmoisturemaybeignored.5Twomethodsarespecified:MethodA:thetestspecimensareindirectcontactwiththecarbon;thismethodisparticularlyusefulformaterialswhichhavetobetestedatrelativelylowtemperaturesbecausetheyflowathighertemperatures.MethodB:thetestspecimensareplacedinwirecageswhichpreventdirectcontactbetweenthetestspecimensandthecarbon.
